BNU International Finance College , located at their Zhuhai Campus, has collaborated with a network of overseas universities in the preparation of courses, teaching modules, the selection of text books and teaching material. The college is keen to introduce advanced financial planning, financial market development and new scientific financial research in higher education.
    The aim of the college is to produce the talented people who not only know the Chinese financial market well but also understand the markets in developed economies.
The International Finance College is located within the BNU Zhuhai campus which in turn is suited in the beautiful coastal city of Zhuhai , Guangdong Province . The establishment of BNU Zhuhai is an important part the of BNU's new development plan of today's 100 year old BNU and is a significant step towards education reform and innovation. BNU Zhuhai acts as a trial base for reform and as a window to the outside world. International co-operation with leading overseas universities and the use of resources and expertise offered have been chosen as the direction for further development of the BNU Zhuhai campus.

    The Principal of the International Finance College is Professor Dr. Li Yang, Chief of the Financial Institute at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and one of the 15-members of Monetary Policy Committee of China. Co-operation between the leading universities from both China and abroad provides students with advantages and opportunities in terms of a much wider global vision and direct access to the latest development in the international financial industry. International Financial College was launched at the new century and will be moving towards first class finance academy in the Asian and Pacific Area.

    To produce graduates with the wisdom and the skills which will enable them to enter the international finance: banking, securities, investment, insurance, accounting, financial services and business and financial management. Students are expected to develop truly international talents and to understand both domestic and international markets.

    International 2+2 Programme: recruits students who would have passed the national university entrance exam and reached the requirements of the leading universities. Students will spend the first two years studying at IFC of BNU Zhuhai campus and then move to overseas universities in the network of cooperating for their last two years of studies. Students will be awarded undergraduate degree of the overseas universities and BNU certificate when they complete their courses abroad successfully. If students are unable to go abroad to study for certain reasons, he or she could study continuously at BNU Zhuhai campus and also obtain the BNU degree according to the university stipulations.
    International 1+1 Programme: offers the programme to students who have gained the graduate-college certificate. Students will spend their first year to study at IFC of BNU Zhuhai campus in order to enhance their understanding of finance. Intensive English will be taught to enable them to meet the requirements of overseas universities. The second year they will study at overseas university for their postgraduate degree. Students will be awarded the relevant postgraduate degree of the overseas university when they complete their studies abroad successfully.

• Foundation courses are comparable to those of overseas universities. The main characteristic is the integration with the international financial system.
• Teaching materials and textbooks in use are similar to the ones used in overseas universities. Attention is given to the latest development in financial industry.
• Teaching has a practical industry focus. Case studies are commonly used to enhance the
  analysing skill of students.
• Teaching faculty is from BNU and overseas universities. Bilingual teaching is applied.
• Intensive IELTS and English in finance are provided.

    1100 students were enrolled for 5 colleges in Zhuhai Campus in September 2002. The recruitment plan 2003 is 3500 for 12 colleges. The number of undergraduate students for the next 6 years will reach 35000.

    BNU provides partner universities with the opportunity of sending students to study in China. BNU is also in talks with the Chinese financial institutions regarding the possible work placement for foreign students who wish to understand how the Chinese financial companies work.
